Lano, a Norwegian shampoo company has a contest each year where people can send in their best baby picture. The winning picture is put on the shampoo bottle for a year. That all worked great before 4chan got a whiff of the competition Mikael is a 5 year old handicapped boy. When someone posted the link on 4chan, 10.000 people voted within half an hour.

I feel bad for the company, because 4chan hurt them in 2 ways.

1) If they pull the image, they will look like douche bags who hate the disabled, and well they will get burned big

2) If they run the image, their sales and company image will take a big hit, i mean lets not lie we live in a society where image means A LOT to people, even if they wish it not to, and you know that a mother who wants her little angel to be perfect, is not going to buy that shampoo because she thinks it will make her baby look like that..

However, they can spin this in a positive if they donate an X% of their profits from the shampoo to a Charity that cares for the boy's particular disability.

Yay!

Btw, i in no way shape or form dislike handicapped people, i am merely stating this from an Objective view.
