Ofc i do mean the old ones before we go any further but i want to know who else shares my passion for them, the shape colours etc amaze me i love them so much so iv bought a vw beetle wizard 1972. my original plan was to paint it candy orange but people dont think thats a good colour for it, i want oppinions.

I also want to know who else likes or even owns a beetle or a camper van. got to love the split screen campers but shame they are so expensive.

I guess their ok if you live in Europe

You can restore it back to its original color

they trully are the symbol of a generation.
I like them, but first thing i would do is change the motor
and put bigger tires!

I received these awesome beetle car toys when I was a kid. one was yellow with pink/purple flowers. the other one was white and racecar-ish. (kinda like herby) but with more colours.

nope lemme guess... peace stuff xD ? thats why im asking you tell me about it im serious ? whats good about owning a beetle ?

beetles are old cars meaning most of their tweaking is done mechanically (or well,
all their tweaks are mechanical). this means its a lot of fun to work on if you
want to like take out an engine, swap around some suspension etc. a lot of people
want a beetle or an old vw van just for this. besides that there is a lot of fan
clubs and beetle/van lovers clubs and parts are easy to find and cheap to buy. if
you want you can put in a bigger engine, there's even beetles that have been turned
into hot rods. so yeah you can do all you want to it, by yourself and for
not a lot of money.

so that completely shows how little you know about cars lol.

thanks you kind of filled in all id say. because its old dont make it shit its not like a modern car where they all look the same going for that smooth rounded look its from a time where they made a car to stand out and have a unique look. It leaves it open to different paint styles and been old a lot of the things you can do on it have so its easier to tweak want a bigger engine you can put one in easily espesh been air cooled its not got a lot that can go wrong with the beetle or camper engines.

This car id like sprayed candy orange for me thats the perfect colour for it, or lime green.

agreed. beetle will always be an icon.

could you post a pic of it after (and maybe before) the new paint?
