Armpit so freaking itchy..

So here is the deal.. both my armpits have been itchy for the last 2 weeks. It is really irritating.
Been using the same deodorant (old spice) and same clothes. And I didn't have these itchiness before.
Eating same food too.
Been to the same places... etc etc.
What could it be? Anyone have past experiences?
Does shaving help? (I'm 22 here) .. I hope this is not the only solution!.

Try using a deodorant without aluminium. Might just be an allergic reaction.

they are prbly red and oddly stinky too
so just go see a dermo. just for safe measures, but also! deodorant with alcohol usually does it too

seriously... anyone?
I doubt it is the deodorant (old spice) because I have been using that for years now. Only recently that I have this itchiness.

I would suggest to stop using the deodorant for a week. Wast the area thoroughly yet gently. Then start over next week if conditions improve.

It could be the deoderant, or more rightly a change in your ph levels or hormonal balance. Stop using the deoderant for a week, mabye use talc for the time being and see what happens.

dude! the same thing happened to me very recently...Ive always used right guard extreme....the solid stick deodorant, then recently I went to the market and bought Old Spice "Swagger" its the blue soft gel type deodorant, and after 3 days of using it , my armpits were freakin itchy as hell!! and after scratching both of them for so long the skin was starting to get irritated and when I looked at them in the mirror , i could see the red blotchy spots on my armpits , so I had to stop using old spice for like 3 days and it went away, im scared to put it back on.. = /

gel deodorant tends to have negative effects on my pits, i generally avoid it. i recently started using oldspice to see what would happen. i do have to go a day or so every several days to prevent it from causing problems. im going back to solid after this stick is gone.

Put peanut butter in the affected area for 2 hours and report to us, we'll take it from there.

if by gay you mean homosexual than no, i dont understand what having a trimmed or hairless armpit would aid to the intercourses of men with each other. if by gay you mean happy, than yes.

my girlfriend finds hairy armpits repulsing, so if you aren't shaving/trimming your pits under the pretense that its "homo" to do it, then you sir, are a virgin, LOL
