Unlike the original Pokemon this doesn't look funny and bright at all, Ash looks like a drug addict and Pikachu is ugly.
That's how it looks like compared to the original Pokemon, but without comparing and as a fan made movie it's pretty good.

no im pretty sure they are ex because they realised there is something far better out there than this place and its responsibilities.

I like the plot to it, but the trailer kind of sucked, but it puts Ash being in the real-world and as an adult in perspective

It appears that a.) this was the original crew in a later time. So maybe pikachu is more mature(despite the lack of evolving). And b.) they appear to imply that pokebattling is something like modified dog fights. Ive never seen a fat dog in a dog fight… not that ive seen many dog fights, but you know.

Are you guys kidding me? That was pretty fucking good for a fan film. Sure, it's not the pokemon we grew up with, but the director's interpretation, and for a completely fan made video, it's really good.
