So i was just wondering if i dont take an AP class in 10th grade will that effect what college in get into. But i plan to take AP classes 11th grade and 12th grade is that ok?

It may affect the classes you take junior and senior year. Ask your councilor if not taking an AP class now would preclude you from taking an AP class later on.

I took us history last year and hardly did any HW or hardly read when I was supposed to. Essays I could do in 5 minutes (fast typer) and always got 85 +

I scored a 4, laziness win

This year I'm taking English and chemistry
Imma slack in english and sort of try in chem

Yes the sooner you start taking ap classes the more recognizable you are to colleges. more ap classes the better!

Actually when you take an AP, you should try to do well in it. That will show colleges your good. What AP class is it? World History?

i took AP World History as a freshie. hard as **** test. got a 1. win!

Advance Placement right? if not, I think there was a scholarship program called AP for high school and it failed

It pretty much just gives you more credits to go towards college. You can take most AP classes most years, regardless of if you took them or not before.

Take as many AP classes as you can. You can inflate your GPA so much and AP classes are so damned easy for how much free time you have in high school.

Not taking AP in 10th won't be a big deal, you still have 11th and 12th grade to take AP. I am sure you wouldn't be hurting your chances for getting into a nice college.

Doesn't matter if you take them in the 10th grade. Got into all the colleges I applied to and I only took 1 junior year and 2 senior year (4.0 helped tho, lol).

And no, they weren't no name colleges/universities.

Got accepted to the engineering colleges at Ga. Tech, Ohio State, Florida, and Clemson. Decided to go to Clemson after touring all the campuses. Really wanted to go to Ohio State but I live in GA so the distance/weather was a con for me.

From what I understand there is no extra credit given, but the credit you earn is applicable to quite a few state colleges around the country. Same credit value as a regular class, but that credit will get you a lot farther.

Yes, actually. Says she loves it. I was golfing with a guy on Hilton Head, he tried to get me to go to Clemson. lol I told thanks but no thanks, in state tuition at a university with a better business school was more attractive. I did give it a second thought though. The area is beautiful.
