It's meant for practice to increase your speed.
You can increase the speed by changing the settings (S).
But good for you.

700 is pretty good as long as you can still absorb the info. I was using Sparknotes for it.
Started at 400 and went up by 50 every chapter. Good exercise =p

I'm reading a 1000 word section of one of the Drizzt Do'urden stories... Just did 500 and 550 with no problems and going for 600.
Edit: 650 is getting tough, gonna stay there, and move to 2 words per block.

I was having no problems at 850 with 2 word blocks before I got bored with the whole thing, I can believe he was doing 900 with 4.

There's an option in advanced settings to lower the speed by a tiny fraction when displaying long words and speed up on smaller ones to compensate for it. It's a lot better than a flat wpm rate.

500 first try, not really in the mood to test other settings atm. I surprisingly read a lot ( hate **** books with no substance ).
