So my friend is joiner and has no work, I called him last week about doing wooden floor around my house (two bed rooms and my hall) and then to do my garage door.

We agreed on a price of £300 for all which is good as the rooms are big but then he said he wanted £470, I told him to go and jump.

He came today and I moved everything out of the rooms for him to do it, he arrives at 3pm when he was supposed to come at 1pm, I made him lunch and its around 4:30 then his mum calls him to pick her up so he leaves and comes back at 5:30, gets all his stuff ready and gets a phone call from a friend, I knew by the phone call something was up. He said ah I going out tonight i'll come tomorrow and do it... WTF?!

Should I tell him to FCK off and get another person to do it for a little extra money or what?

lol, this reminds me of when I paid my brother to do an engine swap for me at his shop... A month later and my car still sat there behind everyone else's car... Friends and family can be a bitch to get things done sometimes.

That is the only reason why I did it, he doesnt have a job anymore and I thought he could use the work and now he has screwed me over, I am going to sleep on the sofa tonight which sucks as my sofa is a L shape lol...

I called him and told him it was disrespectful and immature, that wouldn't fly in a work place to do that so why should it fly with me after all I am paying him, I told him he can do it for £250 or i'll get someone else and he said alright i'll be there first thing in the morning, sorry.

Change of plan now, my girlfriends uncle is coming tomorrow to do it for free.

Called my friend and it kinda sounds like we are not on friendship basis anymore, but it was his fault, no one else to blame.
