alright. so pretty much just got this one annoying pimple. tried not to pop it or do anything to irritate it which might cause scarring, but no matter how hard i tried it did.. I was washing my face earlier and it somehow got wiped off my face. Now there is a small but deep scar left behind. I tried using google to find out what kind it is. I think its an icepick one.


They list lots of treatments and stuff, but I dont see any that say anything to do to help prevent or cure it in its early stage. Its a fresh scar, so I figure my best chance to prevent it from being permanent is to treat it now. I couldnt find any good information on what to do exactly, so does anyone here know?

Sand that sucker down until your cheek becomes fleshy and let the skin grow back. Remember if it doesn't sting you're not rubbing hard enough

nvm i see what striaex is..and clearly you didnt really understand the point of the thread. Im not looking for medications that I have to order or other expensive treatments. any at home remedies or creams i can buy at a local store that I can use on the FRESH SCAR. Most those treatments and medications are for scars that have probably been there a while.


and i dont got timeeee. i need a quick solution/remedy to help prevent it from being too noticeable of a scar in the long run.

Ive heard that Toothpaste was good, i can't be sure, and i don't know if it actually is, but it has been mentioned to me on separate occasions. N besides, you don't have anything to loose in giving it a try, just put some toothpaste on your finger and put it on your scar

Actually I've heard toothpaste is really bad for it. Makes it worse.

Plus what you're thinking of is for when the pimple is full of puss. The toothpaste supposedly dries it out and gets rid of the whitehead.

The thing is the whitehead came off or disspeared while i was washing my face so now it left like a small but pretty deep pit on the surface of my skin. Most treatments are for preexisting scars..but I needed advice on what to do RIGHT NOW to prevent the actual scar that will be there permanently.

Also btw..yea I just put on some neosporin. but its for cuts and scrapes. I decided to take that off and put on a cream I found in my other bathroom that actually specifically says it treats acne scars and has vitamin E in it.

So far its a waiting game. Any better ideas or advice is still appreciated though.

Depends on where the pimple was, but acne scars aren't permanent, but they take a loooooooooooooong time to fade. I get acne scars whether I pop the pimples or not so it's usually irritating lol; however, they usually go away within 6~12months '~,~.


And @ hostage; yes. What's in toothpaste is the same what's in acne treatment. It'll just be easier to use the acne treatment creams since it's usually more potent/concentrated.

toothpaste is only good if it's still "alive", like when there are still fluids in it.

Well they always told me that toothpaste makes the pimple dry out

lol I've never seen someone spaz so much about a zit.

I've popped hundreds and whatever they leave behind goes away eventually.

You could try putting vinegar on it though, I heard that works pretty good for raw/scarred skin.

is this your first pimple or something. this shit isnt uncommon.

I use the lemon kind of lemon juice on my occasional acne scar. I also heard of popping one of those Vitamin E pills and rub that oily ooze that oozes out of the hole you made and apply it onto the affected surface.

I researched something regarding acne scarring before and basically, you need to "exfoliate" the skin whereas the dead skin can move on and new skin can grow.
