Stone Age Lucy changes history

Scientists have found evidence that stone tools were used to cut meat almost 1 million years earlier than thought.
The discovery which was made in Ethiopia completely rewrites the history books, extends the Stone Age back almost 1 million years and adds a whole new chapter to the story of our past.

And I thought that 100 years was a long period of time. But extending the stone age by 1millions years? Damn.

200,000 years for homo-sapians
and about 6 million years for our earliest relatives.
