And my mom has been putting money in my bank account, and i wanna know what i need to check my bank account?

all i know is picture id.

You only now have a bank account

lolz, i had a bank card since i was ... 11 - 12 or so aswell.
Its just a saver way to safe money i guess, not as easy to spent it as paper money.
My parents also had a seperate account i would've been able to access when i'dd become 18.
The suprise for me was that there was nothing there xD

yup if u live in the usa, if the account is your name BUT you may also need your parents too, depends if they made it go over to you completely when ur 18

i got a bank account when i got a job-.-

i had a bank account when i was 5 but didnt know about it till this year. parents sued some women cuz she crashed into a car and that car hit me.

My savings account (which unlike most people here, i had to put money saved from christmas, birthdays, festivals, etc by myself (<,<)), can be accessed when im 16

Responsibility at a young age is nothing to be afraid about. Also the money I've made from my job goes to my bank account, so naturally I'd have access to it. I've never heard of not accessing it until age 18 :S

How do you guys get money for everyday use?

I can get my savings account when I get my diplom. It's going to help me a lot with finding a new place where I can live and I'm happy that I can't access it earlier.

Tho my grandparents and my dad have been saving quite a large sum of money to pay for my education.

Wow... A colt45 is a little bit more dangerous than a bank account. So I don't get how you think letting your child learn how to save money is equal to handing them a gun.

Also, Cell, regardless of how well trained the 7 year old is, I would NEVER let a kid near a gun. You know how many horror stories there are of kids like that. 7 year olds get angry, they have temper tantrums, they aren't responsible, and mixing them with a gun is ridiculous.

I agree you shouldn't let your 7 y/o own his own gun, but it never hurts to teach them early to respect guns. So taking them out shooting isn't that bad(besides full autos) but letting them sleep with it under their pillow might be a bit far :sohappy:

I doubt any 7 y/o is going to take a debit card and kill his friend with it when he gets mad :roll:

At the topic starter, you can call/go into your bank and see if they offer online banking. Or even go to their website and set your online banking up there. Then you can check your account as often as you'd like.
