Mmm too bad it's nighttime and you're a day early. Also when going to school I always laugh at the kids that tried doing that to me in lunch. I just sat there smiling at how retarded they are.

Ramadan Started here in Indonesia today...

I won't be fasting this year thought, i've done 3 Full Ramadans before, sure i know no big thing for actual Muslims, but i'm Roman Catholic and just gave it a try.

I do challenge people who have never Fasted Before to try it, it's a great test of will power and endurance.

Here in Muslim countries it's the best time in the year, something like Christmas but for 30 days.
Ramadan Kareem

From Wikipedia: Throughout the duration of the fast itself, Muslims will abstain from certain provisions that the Qur'an has otherwise allowed; namely eating, drinking, and sexual intercourse. This is in addition to the standard obligation already observed by Muslims of avoiding that which is not permissible under Qur'anic or Shari'ah law (e.g. ignorant and indecent speech, arguing and fighting, and lustful thoughts). Without observing this standard obligation, Sawm is rendered useless, and is seen simply as an act of starvation. The fasting should be a motive to be more benevolent to the fellow-creatures. Charity to the poor and needy in this month is one of most rewardable worship.

It really doesn't seem so hard, tbh. No food is easy, I've done it before without any issues. No water would kind of suck, but again not to difficult. No sexual intercourse? Lol, I went 6 months without fapping so 1 day wouldn't hurt me.
I think their standard obligations of "ignorant and indecent speech" would be the hardest part. I can't go a day without abusing some brain-dead idiot, I'd go mental I swear it. I just couldn't do it.

Eating itself isn`t a problem. For me it's the lack of Energy. I remember when it was during school,I would literally sleep during class without even feeling sorry. It would be piss easy if you could drink.

SPeaking of sleep, I think it would be challenging if you couldn't sleep. That woul suck >_>

But I think it's not meant to be a test of endurance, as opposed to a way to teach self discipline, so perhaps I'm looking at it all wrong. I will give it a shot though, unofficially of course. You know, just for kicks.

The way my parents taught it to me, it's a way to experience how poor/homeless people live. Kinda "feel" for them. (Probably back then,it was the desert travelers that traveled for days with no food/water)

What is the purpose of feeling how poor people feel when they don't have food and @ the end you eat yourself almost to death. Its typical Moslim... if they give all the food to the poor people i understand what they want to say. But in this way they only feel how the poor people feel and don't help to solve the problem.

Now I really hope this does not turn into a religion debate thing....

Yep debating about religion... it isn't something Moslims like to do.

Don't get me wrong, Ramadan it self is a good thing, thinking about yourself don't do anything stupid and just enjoy life. But for Allah God whoever you want... do that 12 months all year long.. The contrast with blowing people up in Allah or God his name and then 'celebrating' Ramadan...
Wha, enjoy your time with your familie and may God have mercy on your soul :)
