Is my x your x,... Mhhh

I was having a convo with a bro of mine a while back and we talked about colors for some odd reason. Then I occurred to me, how do I know that my red is your red.
How can we really he sure that our brains process light the same way?
Why if my red is your green but you interpret that as my red Because you've been taught to. Think of it as languages I say hibin English but you hear it in French in your mind

Also, how don't I know that this is all just a projection, this could be unreal. What if in some other world in some other world I'm sleeping and everything here is made up(making me god?), I made up languages, the history etc to make this world seem real.
I'm tripping balls Right now man

I just watched Inception. I'm tripping right along with you, bro.

What if this is all just some sophisticated simulation? Like a computer program.

I remember when I had my "question the world and life" phase. I figured rather than go crazy trying to find the answers I want, I'd just live life and see what I learned along the way.

Omagash same. At some point I just started questionning everything in life.

Congratz... you're human.

And no squirt, my X is not your X so keep your hands off of my X!

I was actually thinking about that recently, whether or not others perceive what I see(colors, smells, sounds, etc)

Certain examples of such would be ghost and psychics, they seem to be able to see what my eyes can't. I wonder if there are other variations of such, it's just one of those things to ponder upon, but just don't delve too deep into the subject, its hardly worth tripping balls over because in the end you will discover nothing.

That's basically what you said when you think about the concept of colours, they're entirely physical. Only way you could interpret red as green and vice versa is if you were on drugs or sensory deprivation or some weird shit like that.

There is no way to know that and there is no know if we're in a world like in the Matrix or not.

Enjoy life as long as you can. Lots of things are interesting but useless for a living life.

Color's aren't physical, you don't know if someone perceives those colors the same way you do. Take for example dogs, they cannot see certain colors while we can.

Dogs seeing less colours or bees/birds seeing an extra UV channel of light doesn't make colours non-physical, because they are, but our experience of colours is subjective though, but not to the point where you can mistake red for green.

not only color, lots of things could be different, depend on how each brain interpret it.
shape : straight line (-), curved line (~), zic-zac line (z)
temperature : touch a 40°C objects but many people feel it differently, as well as the pain the got
sound
smell
taste

It is the question that hundreds of thousands of great minds have been trying to answer: What is reality?

Some guy on 1637 tried to tackle this through a simple exercise. He began with doubting and dismissing his senses - the colors he saw, the odors he smelled, the objects he felt. He then proceeded to also dismiss concepts that stem from these senses - relations, emotions. The exercise went on until everything was doubted and dismissed, until he asked: "Is it truly possible that nothing exists? But wait, I'm thinking these! Oh shi-"

The rest, as they say, is history.

Becuase we AGREE that it is red. Dont know if you know this but some quantum theorists have come up with the idea that every moment and movement is a paralell universe, for example:

A <---this is *A*

say this a was moved to the spot below

A <-------even though this is the *A* it is NOT the A because it is in a different location, meaning it is a TOTALLY DIFFERENT *A*

using this, scientists have actually teleported a small particle from one end of a large lake to another.

so everything is just an agreement of what reality is, leaning to the thought that each individual creates their own reality, I don't know if you've ever seen inception but there's a scene in which they people in the dream world are actual representations of that persons own subconscious and you can tell whats going on in their subconscious by talking to them.

This is pretty much what happens in *reality* as physical manifestations are based on the vibration each person is giving off
and each person gives off a certain vibration based on they are observing(thinking) this makes sense. if you go deeper you can talk about beliefs,

a belief is something someone has thought about enough long enough that evidence of it appears in their realities, further reinforcing that belief until it because embedded in the mind and accepted as *truth*

Meaning the Color red is red because enough people thoguht about it long enough for it to become reality. . .

Really though it would just take one person to think about it long enough and other people who match that vibration will be attracted and begin to appear in that persons reality...

I could go on but this is enough for now.

@wootpops
that guy is actually right

further elaborating on that, the double slit experiment proves the theory that all possible outcomes to everything exist.

if you focus on something, it exists, if a tree falls and no one hears it, the sound still exists, as does the fact that the tree did fall and didn't fall and was never there to begin with or was always there etc etc. . .all posibilities are possible, even the possibility that it doesn't make a sound if it hits the ground. so the answer would be yes

and the answer would be no

and the answer would be yes and no

and the answer would be no and yes

and the answer would be yes yes and no and yes yes and no no and yes yes yes and no no no etc etc etc. . .

I feel like Inception is going to cause this craze of people trying to think really deeply about everything just because they saw the movie.

Was doing that waaaay before I watched Inception. It's fun to think of strange theories and study the weird world of QM. :sohappy:

Also, if I take melatonin before I sleep, I can have some crazy dreams. They seem sooo real and when I wake up I can remember EVERYTHING from them. In them it seems like I'm lucid, but not quite. Over the passed few weeks I think a lot about my dreams before I fall asleep... they have seemed to get more and more detailed lately. (this was before seeing inception or anything about it) InB4coolstorybro.

I did this like 3 years ago with my brother. That's weird. Stop stealing my thoughts.. I also had the same question. Mine occurred to me when I was thinking about color blind people that get colors mixed up. And I thought "what if they were born color blind and learned colors accordingly" They think blue is what i know as purple. And then I go to think what if everyone seen colors from their own perspective different than mine. Strange that someone else was thinking the same thing lol.

Not like the matrix, a simulation as in: There is no 'you'. You are part of the simulation. A physical "you" exists no where. There is no underground. dun dun dun!

Yes because your cone cells in the eye picks up the same light as mine, my red is your red. Unless of course you're color blind which means you either have no or less cone cells in your eyes. :)
