Sound not loud.

Alright this is really annoying :x Basically, my sound is really low even though its on max. I've checked every possible settings in Control Panel that has to do with Sound.
If this can help, I recently had problems with sounds not working at all on the Internet. To solve it I had to import a file to my Registry(regedit) to solve the problem. Dunno if that when the sound stop being loud but might have something to do with it.

I think if there's a way to literally reset my Sound settings to default it would help. I already tried from Control Panel--> Sound but nothing works. Maybe a reg?

This is my sound at max,as you can see it barely goes to 50%. (OS : Win7 x64)

That green bar is only going to go half way up. Unless you are using an application like media player and the sound is extremely loud at one point. The only thing you can do is use this:

...On your speakers or headset.

Edit- One other thing you can do.. but it will make your sound a little... eh eh... Go to Speaker Properties/Enhancements/Enhancement Properties/settings and change the Boost Level. (don't know how great that option is tho.)

Try that Fiction told you. I got the same problem with Win7 64bit so I have to raise the volume on the speakers instead.

Its a laptop, so I use the touch thing to adjust the sound.

I don't know if windows 7 still works the same way as xp when it comes to audio, but make sure this is turned up.

the touch thing only changes the master volume, not wave.

I updated and Windows found nothing. And I bet it is the wave but I can't manage to open that window on Win7 :(

Even though this may sound stupid, and I might get flamed for it but, it doesn't matter I rarely post on here any how.

Make sure its plugged in all the way...

Maybe blow in the hole a little.....

This is if you are using headphones or a headset.

Don't update your Windows, you need to update your Sound Drivers. Furthermore, the "Wave" is in your Control Panel. Both of these options are.

Yeah no updates found. And I've checked everything related to Sound in Control Panel and didn't find the "Wave". :( Steps by Steps plz.

Is the sound only soft when coming from the Net, or life if you play a song on your iTunes it would be the same?

Good question. I tried with Window Media Player and the sound is perfect. So I guess its only on the Internet.

Ok,

Then when you click on the Volume icon in your Task bar, click on the Mixer button, and slide to the right, there might be a Volume Control for either FF/Chrome/IE whatever browser you are using, try to slide that up.

This is actually one of the features i really like about Windows 7.

It allows me to set different volume levels to different things. Like if i'm gaming, i can have my Game volume somewhere in the middle, yet have Music playing more quiet, but if im on Vent or something, i can turn that up.

I'm a PC and Windows 7 was my Idea.

Yeah,

Windows 7, in my opinion did follow through on it's promises and it was definitely a "Whoops, our bad about Vista, here is something much better" OS.

Depends on what speaker you got.... For example i bought me some Creatives, and they are sexy beyond belief.

Good quality and easily portable. Small and just i love em.

However, when i connect my roomates Edifier:

Sound quality is noticeably worse... I'm just not a happy pappy using them.

Damn those are sexy! How much did you give for them, and can you get them with a sub?

Lol @ "Happy Pappy" reminds me of seinfeld.

They actually come with an Integrated Sub-woofer, in each speaker. There is another opening right at the top, and thats the Sub.

Another reason why i really like them.

They are called Creative GigaWorks T40 speakers.

That's the sub opening.
