dumpster diving?

you guys ever do this?
i more mean like if you see something of interest near the top would you take it. me and my bro found a dvd rack and a xbox 360 on the top of his apartment's dumpsters. the 360 however does not work but i plan to see if the person i have been talking to can fix it (if he runs away with it no big loss).
anyone else find stuff like this?

well, next summer i am going to transit around the europe. SO yeah, i will be forced to steal or eat from dumpster. ;/

If you're really going to be that desperate you can just get free food in a lot of European countries as well. In Amsterdam the bums only go through trash bins to find left over weed and crack.

don't need to, a lot of the cities here have "free junk" days, where you put stuff that you don't want at the end of your driveway. People drive by and take what they want. if no one takes it, the garbage company takes the rest.
Kind of a volunteer way of distributing stuff. Last time we drove around, I found a computer case I could use. When we came back all of the stuff I put down at the curb was gone, I must have good junk

haha! no, probably not a cool idea, there is a house down the block that is vacant and when they moved, they left a loveseat there at the end of the driveway. Damn thing has been sitting there for over a month, through at least 3-4 rainstorms and now there's worms n' bugs all over it.

many people here take stuff they find on the corner and either sell it at some fleamarket after refurbishing or take it apart and sell metal parts at the scrapmetal dealer.
but i'd be surprised to ever see any xbox on the street lol
