Ohai, ladies.

Probably would be the first time i will buy something physically over the internet so...

Is newegg a trustable site to buy? cause i am planning to build my own i7 desktop :)
Many of the members here browse that site a lot for their computer needs.

Also, would be good if i get a TV that work as a monitor? or it would be a mess and should get a monitor instead?

Read there that some of their products are free shipping, i hope that true lol.

Thats for now, i won't bored you guys with another "how about this pc" thread. ;)

I've ordered from them a good bit of times. Prices were always the lowest of everywhere I looked and I always got my items a day or two ahead of schedule.

I've built at least 8 complete computers from components all ordered from Newegg, I've never had a single problem.

I hate newegg shipping costs..maybe because I'm in Canada. To answer your question, it is most definitely safe.

Yeah Newegg and TD are both great. Like Kill&Chill and EvGa said. Most time orders come in a day or two ahead, which is a pleasant surprise.

As for the TV that works as a monitor. It just depends on what you do with it. For me I like having a TV and a monitor... biggest I'd want my monitor is about 26" and smallest I'd want my TV is 32".

Newegg's orders come in for me within a week. Since most of the stuff is offered free shipping it's always win. Unlike Tigerdirect which charges me tax(because I live in illinois) and shipping on most of the stuff. I'm better off just going to an outlet store of theirs. TD same thing though within a week.

No issues on either, but Newegg is somewhere I'd order over TD.

I have grown to dislike newegg as i have gotten screwed on 2 mail in rebates, both times they told me the coupon was outdated when it wasnt. tigerdirect on the other hand i have had no issues. i built my pc on TD and it was great.

That's weird, because TD used to be hell on mail in rebates. I never trusted them seeing how they have a different company that usually runs the rebates. You're best only going with instant rebate deals. I've read how it took some people over 6months to get their mail in rebate and that's the ones that actually got them.

Since we now know newegg is a reliable site why not move on to ...

building an i7 is way up there in terms of stupidity when it comes to pc building, I'll elaborate as needed.

Yea they go to the manu or a side company that handles MIRs for many different companies. Was hell during the recession, some side companies were going bankrupt, I think OCZ was using one of them..

Totally a good company to deal with. I've never had a singleee problem, ranging from a tiny box with a few sticks of ram all the way to a full size tower. They always ship well!

Mirosuke wrote:Hey EvGa, are Evga Video Card good? :D

:D EVGA has a really good track record of good parts and customer service. Not to mention a 90day step up program where you can return a card in exchange for a better model and just pay the difference. Pretty sweet deal. I've always used EVGA video cards and haven't had a single problem. (this includes pc's I've built for other people)

However, my next gpu might be an ATI model.
