So this year im finishing year 12 in Australia and heading off to university next year (if i get the ATAR of course). So im just wondering what life is like at university and i was just wondering if canyone can give me a brief idea of what uni life is like. In your own experience of course

Will uni have a social aspect to it or is it just studying full time.
any other comments related to univeristy life are welcome as well

if you're a social retard nothing's gunna change
in fact, it will be worse since Uni pretty much forces you to be outgoing to make new friends.

Uni life is what you make it. You can party 24/7 and drop out. You can study 24/7, make no new friends, and be bored. Or you can have a healthy mixture of the two.

Will you be living on campus or off?

Exactly, it's soo different for everyone.
The bad part is that if you do not live on campus or anything, most of your friends will be pretty far (or atleast further) away.
For me personaly, i loved it way more then highschool and such.
Lots of events going on on campus, there's even a bar on campus 8) used to watch the World cup matches there with some friends and a cold beer when i wasn't at home.

Just, better be sure to deal with your (school) stuff on time, because unlike highschool they dont take whatever excuse you make over there xD

They do, my friend who grew up in Dubbo lives on Campus at Newcastle and studies at the university there.

But on topic, I've never been to University but if it's anything like Tafe, your experiences will be relied upon how good your teachers are. Some are depressing lowlifes, others teach with enthusiasm. I hope you get a good bunch, after all your there to develop your skill set. Wild parties are not only confined to University, they are a general part of life. Find a good friend base and you will have them well past your early adult years.

You can be sure that it's nothing like those Van Wilder movies.

Tip #394

If you ever want to get laid, make sure people don't find out you go by "deathgod" online.

People who tell other people what to study make me mad.

You are the reason there are so many idiot high school girls trying to be nurses and marine biologists.

Are you serious? Subjects worth studying... Majoring in philosophy/political philosophy/political science are the exact same thing as studying pre law.
Business not worth studying in University. LOL
And journalism as what you should do? LOL, if you knew ANYTHING about current events, you would know the journalist profession is reduced to limited, competitive, cheap freelancing.
