Vampire Weekend's Cover Art 'Contra'-versy: Model Sues Band for $2 MillionWhile debate regarding unauthorized use of Facebook pics rages on, a photograph from the pre-digital age has gotten one indie group in some serious trouble. Former fashion model Ann Kirsten Kennis is suing buzz band Vampire Weekend for a cool $2 million, claiming a 1983 photo of her was used in their Contra album cover art without her consent.

Read about this this other day though, and the photographer and Kirsten's family are still disputing who actually took the picture lol. Oh well, no more Kirsten avatar. A cat with a mask will do.

what a perfect way to boost your sales. pay someone for the use of their picture via the public court system while the media gives free advertisement.

The 'let alone pretty or cute' part is real strange to me. I can understand that hot blond women aren't your taste, but you can at least see she's good looking.

I actually agree with Crimson Nuker,she literally has nothing attractive to me. She's neutral I guess
