My eye doctor said that you had to be like at least 21 years old, and 3 years of consistent prescription.
I am also interested in this, but I gotta wait a few years...

I can't watch that shit. If I would get that done I would want to be under narcosis for sure. Not like painkiller and awake, just completely down.

It's the fact of having sharp objects cutting in your eye.

:palm: @ chickens :D

There is nothing wrong with these kind of surgeries, there are no failed surgeries with this new lazer technique.
I'm not in the mood to translate every eye parts in english but I'm sure that nothing is dangerous about this surgery :)
Here in Belgium your eye specs need to be constant for 2 years before you can go under surgery.

That nothing has gone wrong is no guarantee that nothing will go wrong. Besides, that's totally not the problem for me. The problem is THAT THEY'RE PEELING AWAY YOUR EYE WHILE YOU'RE AWAKE. Basically you will see tools coming straight at your eyes. Razor sharp tools. You can actually see your own eye being peeled away while people are shoving sharp tools around your eyes. Did I mention you were awake?

I don't know about you, but for me that's not a natural experience where you're just chilling there when they peel your eyes away. I'd be scared senseless, I'd shit all the colors of the rainbow in my pants (double.. all the way) and I wouldn't be able to sit still.
Mad respect to whoever goes through this surgery :!:

I'm not a lot of people.
As a matter of fact, only like 1/10 people with glasses pull off having glasses. Mostly it just looks nerdy, and not sexy at all.

When I was like 2, I had to get eye surgery, because I had an extra muscle in my eye. From what I was told, they had to stick a sharp object behind my eye lol. EWW. I remember throwing up blood :(

The Canadian government now allows pilots without perfect vision because people were getting LASIK and then having their eyes ripped out at highspeed.

Supposedly the worst part of the sugery is the smell of cooked human eyes after the laser passes.

I'd love to have perfect vision but I wear my glasses almost all the time out of choice. Only need them to see writing from far but it's inconvenient to not always have them on - so I got used to always wearing my glasses even if they have a mild prescription.

why would they give you a dvd of how they operated on your eye?

"good luck with your recovery, and oh.. here is a dvd from us peeling away your eyes layer by layer, so you can be sure we did a good job!"

Maybe it is before hand so they can see what happens, and tell if they want to go through with it or not.
