Cuz you look like you want the **** out of where ever you are if you check the time on your cell phone, which could send the wrong messages depending on where you happen to be.

I thought this was the only useful feature a wrist watch had... The glance at the watch just to say I have to GTFO..

I see someone let cpinney/ror out:

Not long ago ,for some reason I really wanted a watch. A nice,"adult",non-digital,"classic" watch. Dad bought me,stopped using it after 2 weeks :palm: They get annoying pretty fast.

A watch lets you tell time anywhere. Just glance down. Some even look nice. A phone on the other hand is neat, but you can't always check it.

Knowing how to tell time with a hand-watch is also a useful skill, one that's sadly fading with all these stupid digital watch.

I had a watch but my wild gesticulations and lack of regard for bodily appendages caused it to have a short life

I always wear an analog watch. It's like carrying a wallet or keys - it's just something I do without thought. My dad started making me wear one when I was younger. I got used to it and they don't bother me, I feel weird without one.

I have always wore a watch ever since I was a little kid. Everyday. For some reason, when I see girls wear watches, I find that hot (especially good looking watches).

Hell, I'm not gay but I think most guys look better with a watch. It's just a complementary accessory to look better. Besides looking good, you can also look at time without taking out your phone.

Also, having a watch can make strangers talk to you and start a nice convo. I can't count how many girls have approached me to ask the time and then, we started to blah blah blah.

Also if you ever get stuck in the woods the watch will outlive your phones batteries by months.
You can also use the magnets inside the watch to make a compass.

My FSU watch has gotten me free shit around here at the FSU campus. 1) It's awesome 2) No one around here has it since I got it directly from the LogoArt manufacturer

Granted most of it was just free drinks, icees, hotdogs, but still free stuff just for wearing a cool watch is nice.

A phone is easily nicked, if you keep getting it out to see what the time is. A watch isn't..

He's a truck driver? If not swift is used for multiple companies and ignore this line.

As mentioned there is no point in watches other than for looks. Even then only people that I see use watches are old people and people that think they look cool with it.

I wear one to give a more professional look. Same reason I always carry a nice pen on me.

Dealing with customers on a minute to minute basis, I need to have that presentation since first looks are everything. Also, it's a lot easier tilting my wrist up and glancing at the watch. Nothing too fancy, something along the lines of..

Spoiler!

Depends on the occasion and what I'm wearing. 99.5% of the time I don't wear a watch.

ehh, I think it's just left hand for people who are right handed, and right hand for people who are left handed. It's easier to put it on with your good hand.

I wear a Watch... I love having it on, and i do feel kinda weird when i dont have it on.

Sorta when i dont feel the bulge from my Cellphone in my pocket, its just not right.

N besides, not all watches are bad on people, he who commented that Watches are bad on Hairy arms needs to stop using the Metal Bracelet ones and switch to Leather strap.

I love my watch, it was a gift from my uncle about 3 years back now, and i still wear it every day.

It's cumbersome having to dig through your pocket to get your phone out, generally having to press a button, if not unlocking it to get the time to pop up.. All which can be done on a watch with a simple flick of the wrist.

N besides, Watches are also a part of a Man's image. That's why i also enjoy wearing mine. They don't need to be diamond encrusted or wtvr, they just have to look neat, proper, and not digital.

Mine is a Simple Black, with white middle. Big Face. B-1884

My father bought me a quite expensive Swatch, but I hardly wear it.
