Chiropractor

Has anyone ever been to one? I was thinking about going because the concept looks so cool to me :P I like snapping my body (how the hell do you call that?) so getting a complete rundown from a pro must be fun.
But it's not just for fun though, I have a lot of back pains because of my abnormally flat feet and who knows maybe a chiropractor may just snap my back all normal again.

Also, is 'snapping' your back bad for you? I do it all the time. Doesn't really make me feel that much better, but the 'snaps' make it sound as if something is changing for the better.

Weird you post this cause I just got home and I saw a Chiropractors office that I've never seen before in my town.
Wonder what someone will post if I see a morgue

where im from we call it popping

feels good man. my joints actually do it on their own some times. probably not good.

but yeah, love doing the knees and ankles. if i can get that one that connects your thy to your hips it would be grat, only got one side by accident (just by sitting down, lol)

great feeling. i'd go to one if my insurance covered it.

I haven't been to one, but I want to go to a Masseuse first :sohappy:
They are usually for like ppl that have to constantly pop weird places like their thigh or neck to the point where it irritates them.

I adjust my own back. I have a cousin that is a chiropractor and she said that popping the joints in your back won't cause you any harm.

make sure you do your homework before going to see one. There are a lot of ineffective, inexperienced, and generally just really bad chiropractors. Go see someone with a lot of experience/get recommendations from people.

I went a few years back because I had got in a car accident. I did feel pretty good afterward though, I almost felt refreshed.

I've been to see one loads of times, the weirdest feeling is having them pop your neck. As the sound is so loud!

But if you know someone that has been to see one and can give you a good recommendation, it will help. The first guy I went to see, I would come out hurting for days and feel so much worse then when I went in there. But then I started seeing a lady (recommendation from someone) and I felt so much better.

Rather have old-fashioned Shiatsu..

But it does sound more pro to say like: I'm going to the Chiropractor rather than saying: I'm going to have some shiatsu.

I went to one too years ago. They were actually family friend, old ppl that had been doing it for years. Had to go cuz of a car accident.

Was alright. The electroshock stuff was interesting I guess. The old guy was hella good at popping and shit. I was like o_O.

After awhile, I would fall asleep when I went for my sessions. Eventually though I stopped going cuz it was too boring.

2 ways.

I push my fist to my back and arch my backwards
OR
I lay on a bed or something flat and twist the lower half of my body a whole 90 degrees

I wouldn't recommend the latter, if you do it wrong you can break spine
