So I lost my keys today and my sister decided to let me know what they will be "in the last place I look". Well really? Would they?

I wouldn't find them and then keep Farking looking, would I?
I don't get why people say that.

The two aren't connected. Just two things I hate. Obviously they will be in the last place I look, but I don't need to be told that. I'm not going to find them and then keep looking.

no they wouldnt. Your sister is on to something but she is not quite there.

Have you ever lost something (like your keys) and then found it a LONG time later when you weren*t looking for it?

You can not find something that you believe is lost. Period.

why? well because while youre thinking *its lost its lost Where is it blah blah blah* you are actually holding the image/believe that it is lost in your mind so since you control your body and your mind
and are sending these messages to your subconscious mind, your subconscious mind complies with you and you wont be able to find it.

What I do when I lose something, like my keys is just stop for a second, relax, tell myself that I know they are in the room and relax and eventually my mind clears up and I remember where they are or where they would be and usually find them.

So your sister is not 100% correct but the essence of what shes saying is stop focusing on the lost part of it. When you focus on the wheres the last place you would put it, you can begin to focus on the FOUND part of it. .. but of course you still have the Lost part of it strongly activated in your mind, so your subconscious is getting two different signals, slowing the whole process down. When you relax and dont worry about your keys including what happens if things happen a certain way BECAUSE of your keys you remove the block from your mind that prevents you from finding your keys(the block is the image/belief/strong thought that your keys are lost) so its better to relax and focus on easily finding your keys.
