Modern phones auto-save recent outgoing, obviously she's gonna be able to read incoming if your friend doesn't delete.

My friend was in the exact same situation. He was having a party because his mom was out of town. All of a sudden she shows up 2h before the party. My friend speed txt everyone to say it was canceled :P I'm guessing its an option. Does your friend pay/take care of the bill?

Can only read texts if the parents get ahold of the phone and check the inbox/outbox
phone companies aren't allowed to print your texts on phone bills/statements.

They can look online see that you have made texts though, just not the content. Texting a ton of people at once would be a dead giveaway.

verizon saves a weeks worth of text messages. It doesn't matter if they are incoming or outgoing or if there is 10 or 1000. Not sure about Sprint.

if your parents get ahold of your phone they can see your texts. Online only shows when/number you texted. put a pass code on your texting and wallah or even say its a birthday party to your friend. and make him come early so she doesnt see 20 people if u know that many :P.
