Today I had my last exam, well I'd have my last exam if I were there. I got scared and signed off. I felt like I didn't spend enough time to do a decent exam. I'm usually getting 4s or 5s for my tests and I do not want to get any other marks that might be worse than that.

I made more than enough credits (dunno how you actually call them). I made a mistake when I picked my subjects up because you have to do an average of 30 per semester and I picked up 38. Managed to earn 32 out of that 38. I've never got scared before. Now I'm sitting in a café and pouring my shame into a cup of coffee. I'm just a coward.

Have you ever done anything like that? How did you feel about it?

At last I'm done with my studies for this semester so let the summer begin! There is always something good after something bad. But no cookiez for me for a while because I've done this. Yeah I'm going to punish myself!

You skipped an exam for fear of making a bad grade? So the logical thing to do was skip it completely and get the lowest grade possible? I don't think I understand the story correctly, surely not.

But now you have a bad grade. Or do you get to make it up? Here, if you skip you get a 0, worst grade possible.

When I skip an exam, I don't get another day to make up for it, and receive a 0% which automatically voids me from getting my credit, regardless of my grade...

Not true? Unless where you'r from has special rules. If your final is worth 30% of your mark,you could still pass without attending the exam(if your mark is already high enough)

You auto-fail the entire course here if you miss the final, regardless of the weighting of the final. They post final exam dates on the first day of class and it is the student's responsibility to make sure they don't have a conflicting schedule or something during the schedule final exam date. If you miss it, tough shit.

I've done something similar before, too. Years ago when I was in my final years of school I was doing 6 subjects, but I only needed to do 5 subjects in order to pass and get my university credentials. Anyway, for one of the subjects (legal studies) we had this really hard assignment to do. I was freaking out so badly, fearing I couldn't do it and would fail it miserably. So I decided "fuck it, I'm going to just drop the subject." And so I did. I just stopped doing the subject and only did 5 subjects for the rest of my final schooling years. I really enjoyed legal studies as well and would of liked to continue doing it, but this assignment was crap >_>

i see failure of logic in this OP, cuz of ur fear of failure, u gave urself 0% to receive a good score on the test.

Well going by his first post, as he had an average of 32 subjects instead of 30 (is that right?) he would pass overall even if he didn't do the test. So really he has lost nothing, as he was already doing extra work (I think?)

I think he has a fear of not meeting his own benchmarks, I have the same thing myself. I have high standards when it comes to work, both mental and physical, and I can't bear the thought of not meeting those standards. I can't blame him for what he did, if what I stated above is correct than I see logic in it. I could be wrong, tough, down here we obviously have a different system.

Yeah, systems seem to be completely different. I are confused.

@TOloseGT: I'm already over the 30 credits that have to be done in each semester(stated above). I was not 100% sure that I'll get a 4 or a 5. Nothing connects to this subject that's why I signed off. And according to your last question you are the one whos giving mark of immaturity. Ah but nevermind keep up the trolling...

Idk who to agree with here; Even if you sat the test, you WOULD have gotten a better mark than not even turning up. I don't get the 32 subject thingy, so you do 32 subjects at uni? On the other hand, I can see where you're coming from with not meeting your own standards, but hey, you only live life once, might as well give everything a shot.

Nope I had like 10 subjects that worth 32 credits.

Only test I ever skipped out on was in a business class because I already had 2 A's on the previous tests.

They drop the lowest grade anyway, so technically I didn't lose any credit and I ended up passing that semester with honors.

It's not being a coward it's being efficient with your time.

if you are confident that you can achieve a better result at another point in time,

so you skipped a test so you wouldnt have to confront your own ignorance? instead you make yourself appear irresponsible and fail by default. im not sure where you are from and how the latter logic outweighs the former, but it doesnt really connect in my brain.
