Well my old desktop got a display driver error and I can't use it to do shit. So now I want to get a laptop and a gaming one. So could you please suggest me a good one for under $1000 preferably. I will use it to play MMO's and soon games like Assasins Creed, which I haven't ever played on PC but am going tot try out. So could you please suggest me some.
~Thanks
Also please don't post desktops I already have one and I might replace the graphics card on it so it will work, but I want to get a laptop for now.

The Laptops from Dell are pretty Descent. The XPSes.
However, i would go check out your local stores for some deals, a friend of mine got a Laptop, with i7, Terabyte of space, 6GB of Memory, 1gb VGA and the works, for about $1,200 bucks.

Go to cyberpower (internet computer store) I got an insane gaming laptop for 730$, not an i7 with 1 TB of storage, but it's not bad.

what if you like lan parties? i would like a gaming laptop for when i go to lan parties so i don't have to lug my desktop around. plus i don't think i could live with anything smaller then a quad core D:

The laptop desktop argument is rather null. Why not have a laptop that can out do most desktops. Friend recently got the G73 since he travels a lot for work, all over the world for months and thats how he keeps playing games. So its hardly useless.

The best laptop will not out-perform the best desktop. If you are not gonna be moving/traveling a lot then its pointless to go with a laptop.

A display driver error sounds very fixable to be quite honest..

Then the rest who have a laptop comes to my home. Or just like we did, most of my friend had desktop, we didn't mind to take everything to my friends house cause he got a car.
Everything's possible for the LAN sake.

Obviously not but now the laptop hardware has kept up a lot with desktop, its not a slouch anymore.

lol you would be surprised, the thing about this error is that it doesn't have one fix its got like 20. I have tried almost all of them and at this moment I have narrowed it down to overheating, but haven't bought a new fan or a replacement gpu.
But anyways I say laptop because I will most likely get a replacement gpu later for my desktop so it can work too, but I need a laptop now because I have nothing to do when I go out of town to like a relative. Also it is summer and I don't have too much to do, I can't hang out with friends all day since they have a job now, so I need a good gaming computer and I think it would be better if just got a laptop so I could have a laptop and a desktop instead of just 2 desktops.
Also thanks for all suggestions, I am looking into it, my first choice was a Asus anyways so I might just go with that.

Desktop v.s Laptop argument is really meh

Unless you want the best specs right now, you'll be more than happy with a Laptop. I can play most modern games with mine + mobility, bring it to friends house, study, etc.
On Topic ; I'd suggest something with ASUS,I keep hearing good things from that brand.

well i have a big fing case and its a pain to lug around. i would rather have a laptop for mobility but i love my desktop. though it is nice to play everything at max for the time being

Well anyways going with the asus g73jh for now (the best buy version with 6 gig ram) does anyone perhaps know a site that sells the regular g73jh version for like $1380, if so I would really appreciate the help, haven't had any luck finding one myself.
