the Snohomish County police department received a call last saturday night. A horse seemed to have fallen out of a woman's trailer. The woman didn't notice it and drove on for 2 and a half miles while she dragged her horse along. when the police arrived the horse already died.

She stated that she had just been to an event with two horses, together with her her daughters. During the ride she suddenly saw in her right mirror that the door to the trailer was open. When she pulled over to close it again, she noticed that the horse was lying dead behind the trailer. An other horse that was also in the trailer remained inside unharmed.

the woman won't be charged as it looks like an accident.

Do you even know how big horse trailers are? The kind of blind spots they have? I am not all that surprised.

Even at 30 mph thats only like 4 minutes of driving, if you cant see the dead horse dragging behind you, it might take that long to even feel you might have something dragging on your car/truck, if at all lol.

When the officer pulled her over she should have said " Why the long face?"

I don't know from experience, but I dont think flesh and fur makes much noise when being dragged against pavment. Plus she might of had windows up, listening to radio. Especially when driving.
