Apple has mind share. My mom, who has no clue what CDMA or GSM stand for, believes that because it is Apple, it is good. Truth is, Apple has nothing that Android or other OS's/OEM's have on their mobile devices. (The app argument is old so don't try.)

Re: don't support Apple's iphone :P
The iPhone's physical aesthetics are very much subjective and hardware isn't exactly amazing, but the fact that its widely popular forces the rest of the industry make much better phones to compete with the iPhone which means the consumer wins in the end. Still, I'm more partial to the iPhone because I enjoy using the iPhone's interface.
I think the power of a good user interface is greatly underrated and it can really make or break a device. When a complex device can be used by anyone with little to no prior instruction, that's when you know you have a good user interface. There's a difference between using technology and enjoying it. Merging the two together just makes for a better experience. I am a firm believer that everyone from any background should be able to use technology no matter how technically skilled they are (or aren't). Progress should not be stifled just because UI designers decided to cut corners.
Code: Select all
omg so cute ;_;
Also, Google decided to become Bing for some reason. http://www.google.com

COOOL!!!!!!!
Overclock profiles. When sleeping it downclocks to 250. Several other profiles for specific modes also. Battery life is better now that it is rooted and OC'ed with profiles.

Night and day difference, serious. Extremely snappy after the oc, no pun.
EDIT: The moto droid doesn't have a snapdragon though. It has a 'ARM Cortex-A8 core'. When I went from the stock speeds of around 500mhz to 1ghz... huge difference.

Re: don't support Apple's iphone :P
I think phones are so fucking expensive. Like 300+ euro for a good phone, or like 25 eu a month and even then you get a shitty plan.
I really like apple interface on iPod and iPhone, but an iPhone is just too expensive for me right now.

Soon LMAO!?! Now that's an good argument!! iPhone is revolutionary, agree or disagree the fact that now MS and others try their best to produce iPhone-look-alike software.
ps, look at Windows mobile os 3 or 4, MS is longer in the phone market then apple they had enough time to produce an good OS
Apple came with iPhone and took the whole market over

Apple came with iPhone and took the whole market overNOw bro those are FACTS
The iphone stopped being a revolutionary device when real competitors like Android and WebOS devices were released. So far there are things that those phones do way better than the iPhone does, multitasking is one.
WinMo 3 and 4 are years old,
Soon means in the future, as in 'it hasn't been released yet', and if you knew anything about WP7, you would know that it looks nothing like the iPhone UI, neither does Android, neither does WebOS. And Android is skinnable.
The home screens of the iPhone, Android (with Sense), WebOS, and Windows Phone 7, respectively:
Spoiler!
Apple doesn't have shit for market share. Nokia and Blackberry rule the Europe and America, respectively, and there are more Android phones in America then there are iPhones.

Google is better in oh so many ways but apples products are so simple and look good to the eye which most of Americans crave that is the only reason why they are still holding on to the market share. Microsoft sucks imo.

I think all iCrap is ugly.
Nothing for me, I'll just stick with my Samsung Omnia Pro QWERTY phone for now, got enough space for all my favourite songs (I only stick to a few at the same time, so no need for a brazillion GB of space for shit.
When I get a new phone, I don't really mind anymore if it would have an mp3 player on it, I'll just use this one as an mp3 + it has Word, games, pics, alarms and all kinda stuffs on it, so I could just as well get a LG Lollipop or something as a next (2 years subscribtion, but I can change phones after one year)
LG Lollipop:
It's cute.
Or this phone from Japan of which I still have to find out which one it is, but it looks so good already just seeing it for a few secs, it was I believe a Mu-Mo phone but it's hard to find... but it looks cool, clamshell with big screen, I like that.

Not entirely true. Nokia and RIM have been active on this part of the market for a very long time. They've always ruled the charts. However if we take a look at apple's incredibly fast growing market-share. They actually do have 'shit' for a market share.

I heard on the radio that the iPhone uses apps that most providers can't even handle or some shit like that.
anyways, iPhone fucks up. People only buy it because someone else has it.
People REALLY can't think for themselves anymore.

The article is reporting more phones are currently running the Android OS than are running the iPhone OS (iPhone OS/iOS), which is pretty dead on considering there are numerous devices running the Android OS and one mobile device running the iPhone OS. Also according to the article, the strong sales were likely driven by Verizon's new policy to extend the "Buy-one-get-one-free" offer to all their smartphones which effectively doubled the sales for their smartphone line (Android OS and Blackberry). The NPD is basically reporting that in the first quarter of 2010, Android devices are outselling iPhone OS devices.
The discrepancy with your uh, rant I guess, is that you're implying that this is marketshare when is it not. This is the first quarterly statement for the year 2010 (1Q, 2010). If you want to look at actual marketshare, you go to The Nielsen Company for those results. They released a report on June 4 for the current marketshare held by all current smartphones, which shows the iPhone OS at 28% marketshare and the Android OS at 9%.

If you're more insterested in worldwide sales, you can visit Gartnet Research. Their results also show a similar pattern of the Android devices trailing behind iOS, but still having strong sales.

WebOS is skinnable too, if you install preware.
For the iPhone lovers, WebOS can be skinned to look fairly close to the iPhone and with a patch, the launcher can be made to be always open like the iPhone is.
I do like the Palm Pre Plus.
