Well you can't teach people how to work in the corporate world if you don't know your way around it yourself.
Would you like to study English from a native speaker, or from someone who just learned it at the university? Universities who can get a lot of 'native speakers' as teachers will be more in demand, so it's important for my dad to keep in touch with his 'native' side as well.
