i have a P4 1.7/128 - 512 Ram - built in 32 MB Graphics card - 17 GB HDD

and i want a decent game that could work with that
Played icytower and got bored
played curse of monkey island and finished it
played prince of persia DOS version and finished it
played red alert for a very very long time and had enough of RTS

what's your suggestion?

try Heart of Darkness (1997?) or Silver (1998)
both are published by infogrames. both are great games. I had incredibly much fun with both.

I suggested it cuz i have a real old laptop with worse specs, i can play flash games fine, i dont notice lag, the only flash games i can play is like full 3d ones

i had a friedn with 256mb ram, and on-board grpahx with a P3 processor and could play sro

-flash games like farmville can lag
-star craft and grim fandango are epic games but i already played them
-runescape is like a punishment
-silkroad did work with my pc like a year ago , but all i can do is stalling unless the heat turns off the computer

and i'm trying the other mentioned games

Get an emulator and play old psx/pokemon games to be honest, thats the best games you'll be able to play with that pc and thats not a bad thing either.

oh and try thief 1 and 2
im not sure thief 3 will work well, but you can try. it might go on low settings.

it worked pretty well on my old pc, which really wasn't that much better than yours.
