Alright folks, yes this is braggin on my part, but dayum I love my job, I'm a guy that loves being outside, and i'm a park keeper. My skin is genetically adapted to be outside, I tan like crazy, its not even june and im already starting to peel, in the soft sun of canada. It's crazy im outside basically from 8am to 4pm and where I work i go around in a tractor hurling stuff around, or just chilling on a park bench doing nothing / homework...

It seems like every day I work, my tan gets darker, and its been to a point where i've pasted girls at my school which went to the tanning salon once a week during the winter (those girls are gonna die before they reach 50 with skin cancer) anyways.. My girlfriend works at minimum wage at a subway, works her ass off, and doesnt get any benefits. I work 14$ per hour doing basically nothing all day long apart from tanning, for a 17 year old thats not bad. Lifes good

What do you guys do as a job? Do you work? If not shy / or impolite how much do you guys earn? or atleast you think it is a fair salary with the amount of work you do?

I dont have one now since I dont even have a car ( will probably get one when I do ) still in High School though, and i dont really need it.

Im in highschool too, and this job is nice because it gives me time to do all my homework, so no loss of time really

Swimming teaching assistant, getting $10/hr, should be $15/hr if I started in 8th grade but since I started in junior year, only $10/hr... fck!!!

dont have a sub right now, but imo an ideal job @ highschool would be lifeguard @ the pool

future accountant.. sadly I can't say I'm very excited.. well there should be nice money coming out of it, espceially for a CPA, but uhh the studying for it is awful

Failed my bronze cross (minimal level you need to be for life guard) because of my snipal in deep water, couldnt get my stupid kick right, otherwise i aced the rest. Meh i did competition swimming before, I know what it is to work at a pool. To be honest i'd suck really this is why: SUPER hot day, LOADS of people, water is super cold / refreshing, FAK I GOTTA WORK I CANT JUMP IN... to me its just even more of a teaser... SUCKS :|

what a joke, the company im with is terrible at judging wages/keeping people. we have a very high turnover rate.The only reason i haven't pushed for a raise is that im leaving the company when they are going to be the busiest. Just to **** them.

Residential Networking on campus, i get paid shit but its pretty laid back.

I work at Kumon. The center opens on Monday. I teach little kids math. Then, the center opens again on Thursday. The same little kids come back, and I teach them the same shit I taught them on Monday, because they're really forgetful. Nothing EVER happens. I get paid minimum wage.

Since it's summer i dont have a job ATM, but when i get back to Uni i got my jobs there.

1) Head JS Orientation Leader = 14$ an hour for about 55Hours in 1 week (Last Year's Figures) = 770 bucks in 1 week

2) Head International Rep, so i get paid 14$ an hour again to deal with international students, chill with them, surf FB do my School work, wtvr. It's pretty chill

I sell over priced food and drinks to tourists

I work at my local boardwalk every summer, right now I think I make 8.75 an hour, should be making more soon when I get promoted to store lead. I think the pay is adequate because I don't do much, so it's pretty chill. I just hang out with a bunch of fun people my age and we shoot the shit when we're not selling people four dollar sodas.

I work in the electronics department at Wal-mart where I make $8.15 an hour. Its alright, but I am transferring to a bigger college so I will have to quit soon.

I work at The Source (Canadian Circuit City). $10.25/hr now that I'm 18.

Working at a nursery for €4,50 an hour, which is quite a lot for my age at a nursery.

And I tutor kids from lower grades for €6 an hour.

I'm a bum.

I educate the ignorant, instruct the inept and discipline the wayward in a compulsory school.

I'm gonna apply for a job in a callcenter pretty soon.
I don't really look forward to getting people mad at me, hanging up on me and that stuff, but it is one of the few jobs that pays quite decently.

Minimum wage in the Netherlands is pretty shitty. I think it's like 4 euro per hour. Callcenter pays like double that.

I worked in a callcenter.
It's fun and you get good pay and even bonuses for getting in a lot of customers. The downside is that you have to learn like 20 standard sentences before you can even start a conversation with the people about the product. You'll be braindead in about 6 months.

Good thing I only plan on doing it for two months

but my parents are against.

I work as a basic researcher in 2 different labs. Starting pay's only $10/h since it's more for the exp than the money right now. I just basically run reactions, transfer stuff into cells, take pictures, analyze picture. Not too bad, it's pretty neat, and I'm enjoying all the new stuff I'm learning.
