Just read the thread about the 'revived heart' and it made me think about donors and how desperately a lot of people need them.

I am signed up to be a donor for everything I have. From my heart to my skin and eyes.
I was wondering how much people on SRF were a donor (and is it automatic in your country or do you have to sign up?)

If you have to sign up to become a donor in your country, perhaps now is a good idea to consider it?
There's a lot of people in need of donor organs and you can help by becoming a donor yourself

(I don't want this to become about why you should become a donor. I just wanted to see how many people were donors, and maybe motivate some people who have always wanted to be a donor to become one. If you don't want to be a donor then that's your choice, and there's nothing wrong with that)

Im not a donor, dont plan on becoming a donor either, i hardly have any farking blood in my veins anyways >.> (they always use a special tube when i have blood tests >.>)

Not a donor, will never be a donor. Have my reasons for not being one and i will keep them to myself.

I am not an organ donor
and I don't think it will happen in the near future as well.

After I saw the exploding whale video I kinda decided to have me blown up when I'm dead

Yes, I'm a registered donor ... really don't see the need for 'em after I'm dead, so if I can help 1 or x amount of people when I'm gone that need it, all the more better

In Belgium:
Everyone is by default an organ-donor.
But when someone just died or is about to die and that person is incapable to reply (brain-dead or coma). The decision is up to the next-of-kin and then they decide wether the person will donate organs.
If u are sure u want to be an organ-donor, u can sign a card and then u are an organ-donor, no matter what the next-of-kin wants.

I already said I wanna be an organ-donor. ^_^
If u are dead/nearly dead, u have no more use for ur organs; so why not try to save someone.

Yep registered donor here, they can rip anything usefull out of me when I die.

even if i was im sure ill abuse my organs so much they will be useless to the next person that needs em.

i have this thing about people getting my DNA and then trying to clone me...so no...

oh then im not registered, but plan on becoming a donor. if im dead, whats the point of keeping my donors in my body to get eaten by bacteria/burned to ashes.

Not yet but I will register to be one, I won't be needing them after I die.

No and don't want to become one. But it may be otherwise in some cases.
When i die, i'll have my body cremated. Don't like this graveyard system much.
But if one has to go then one goes.

It goes on the same way here, in Hungary so yes I am a donor.

No atm. Maybe later. But I just want to make sure I die before they remove my organs. There are people revived after XX hours after their heart stop beating, who knows.
