Did he/she sound black or white?

Did he/she sound British, Australian, French, Jamaican?

Pretty easy to differentiate between those yet very helpful.

What? I'm not being racist.

If he says it sounded like a black guy, you don't go around looking at Eminem or Linkin Park's songs.

If he said it sounded like a white guy, you don't go around looking at 50 cent, or 2Pac's songs.

It's called eliminating and narrowing your search down to fewer options...

OMG, u are no racist :O

According to Thomas Purnell, William Idsardi & John Baugh's, Perceptual and Phonetic Experiments on American English Dialect Identification, their sample population correctly identified an african american speaker by voice alone 88% of the time.

This implies that racial identification of someone by voice alone is possible 88% of the time, but it's not guaranteed. I'd say the 12% grey area shows the influence of culture over the genes.

It does not mean that ofy1993 thinks that a certain race is inferior(aka definition of racist) just because of how they sound. It does not mean that he thinks all black people sound alike. Get out of here with that PC bs.
