FUNimation Entertainment will be dubbing Dragon Ball Kai into English

I'll look for original japanese audio. American voice actors are complete crap.

True the american voices dont fit the characters... but i think Funimation did a great job with the Dragon ball series... i preffer the english dubbings on dragon ball - DBZ and DBGT

well first of all, before you posers try to look cool, the DBZ back when toonami aired, their voices we great! I went and watched the jap. version and goku sounded like a chick, and krillian sounded like he was 5! I actually hate MOST jap. voicing, its rather annoying to listen to

I like the dubbed orginal DBZ series more than the japanese voices. Japanese voices sounded so childish -.-

But what is this Dragonball Kai exactly? Just a remake of the original version? Didn't they change anything about the storyline?

i was planning to rent the whole series in order, but ill let this play out first and go from there.

and i hate the original voices, i like the americanized dubbed voices. goku doesnt need to sound like an infantile girl n shit.

now if theyd bring back thundercats my life would be complete.

I would rather have goku sounding like a kid and everyone else having normal voices than american audio ruining the whole thing. Take vegeta for example..he sounds like a badass in the japanese audio and then americans make him sound like hes got throat cancer or something.

they scream like they're pre-pubed weirdos. The americanized voices are at least normal to our society. Not only that but many people grew up watching the old school american ones, why the hell wouldn't we watch the new one with the same voices?

guess people are used to what they are used to hearing. American voice actors are lifeless, the translations are off, they ruin badass voices like vegeta's and they remove the music (which goes along nicely with the story). Its just common sense to me that the people who draw and animate DBZ (the japanese) are going to know what is good for the audio (the japanese). but hey everyone likes different things..

I usually watch Anime with the original voices, but in DBZ's case i prefer the english voices.
