Dont even have to draw it as bad to upset them though, they will still cry, which is what makes it great.

on the one hand I like the idea that this is done to show that we have the right to express our opinions, and on the other hand I see this as an act purely done to provoke the Muslim community.
could someone explain this whole day in more detail so that I can form a good opinion

I'm just waiting to see how the radical/extremist Muslim groups will react to this. They've already blocked facebook in there countries, and theres large protest's going on there as well.

Not you in particular, as usual the fanatics are to blame for the worlds problems, however death threats and killings have occured in the past and as a result the western world has sucumb to the threats by censoring, exempting and generally making everyone strictly politcally correct to prevent such things from happening again.

Tension has built up as a result and this is the repercussion for such a suppression of freedom of speech.
