Its not Swedish. Sounds more like Iceland, or weird Norwegian?
The Gyllenhaal family is a descendant of the cavalry officer Nils Gunnesson Haal, who was ennobled in 1652 when Queen Christina of Sweden conferred upon him the crest and family name, "Gyllenhaal."[1]
Gyllenhaal is a Swedish noble family descended from the cavalry Lieutenant Nils Gunnarsson Haal (d. 1680 or 1681), ennobled in 1652 with a change of surname to Gyllenhaal.
The members of the older branch descending from Lars are still living in Sweden (implying that the ancestors also lived in Sweden)
Jake Gyllenhaal, great-great grandson of the above mentioned Anders Leonard Gyllenhaal, joked to an interviewer, in connection with the British première of the movie Prince of Persia in May 2010, that his last name was pronounced "Yil-en-hoo-luh-hay", poking fun of Swedish pronunciation.

It is Swedish.
But this is apparently a 'joke'Jake Gyllenhaal, great-great grandson of the above mentioned Anders Leonard Gyllenhaal, joked to an interviewer, in connection with the British première of the movie Prince of Persia in May 2010, that his last name was pronounced "Yil-en-hoo-luh-hay", poking fun of Swedish pronunciation.
And since people don't believe it when I say something Swedish is motherfucking Swedish, here's someone else explaining how to pronounce it.Spoiler!
Yie - len - hahl
Btw, shouldn't the fact that 'Gyllen' means 'Golden' in Swedish have rung a bell that it is Swedish? hmm?
