I don't really like my gamertag now because the name's kind of stupid because people always correct me on it and plus there's a whole bunch of 0 achievement games that are kind of an eyesore. I was wondering if I could switch the Xbox Live Gold from that gamertag into the one I made that's Xbox Silver.

No, I don't think you can switch it, but I'm pretty sure you can pay like 1500 Microsoft points and change it, but idk. You'd have to check with someone else. I probs didn't halp much

(1) Use points for a name change (You could maybe delete the profile with the name you want?)

(2) Upgrade your Silver account to a Gold account

Could I just stop payment for the gold account and then give it to the silver?

I don't think you can take away the (for instance) 4 months of XBL Gold it has left and give it to the Silver account, I'm sure you will just have to pay again. Go buy the games and get the achievements if it bugs you that much, personally I don't see why but meh.

Just change your GT

Yeah just change your gamer tag, it is somewhere around your account settings.

Also, just because you have a bunch of games with 0 achievements don't mean anything. The point of achievements are just there to make you look good, and they don't even give you anything, but only its presence,

You can delete games with 0 achievements from your name

You can ask people to file a complaint against your GT and get it changed for free.
