April james cameron said he already has plans for a 2nd one. Its going to be in pandora's oceans. and a possible 3rd one would be space travel.

“Avatar,” the top-grossing film of all time, showcased its groundbreaking 3-D technology as the Na’vi soared through the skies of Pandora — but in the film’s sequel, James Cameron intends to go aquatic.

The director told the L.A. Times that a planned follow-up to the blockbuster film would head for the fictional planet’s oceans.

“Part of my focus in the second film is in creating a different environment — a different setting within Pandora,” he told the newspaper. “And I’m going to be focusing on the ocean on Pandora, which will be equally rich and diverse and crazy and imaginative, but it just won’t be a rain forest. I’m not saying we won’t see what we’ve already seen; we’ll see more of that as well.”

He also hinted at space travel — and a potential third film.

“We created a broad canvas for the environment of film. That’s not just on Pandora, but throughout the Alpha Centauri AB system,” he said. “And we expand out across that system and incorporate more into the story — not necessarily in the second film, but more toward a third film.”

While “Avatar” cost hundreds of millions of dollars and took years to produce, Cameron said he’d have to trim the costs and time for “Avatar 2.”

I'd like to fill everyone in with a bit of background knowledge about the video so everyone will stop saying "fake" and so they understand the actual background theme of the movie and why it was created.

On the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Channel) they had a showed called The Hungry Beast (it still might even be on, I stopped tuning in though), it was a tabloid political show aimed at teenage hipsterfags. They posted on issues like Fashion, the ideals of "vegetarianism", wars involving robots, porn in magazines etc. It was a funny show although some of their issues were less than important.

Anyway.

They made section of their show about the movie Avatar and claims of copyright infringement. They have, apparently, sourced a lot of their ideas and even object names from a large variety of sci-fi moves and novels. So they decided to make their own "Avatar 2" trailer, obviously making a parody of the ideas of plagiarism inherent in the film. This is what makes the video funny, the background story is what makes it.

How do I know this? I watched it was it was aired on TV. kthnxbye.
