CHICAGO — Chicago Police Supt. Jody Weis today spoke out against a request for the Illinois National Guard to be to deployed on Chicago’s streets to help tackle gun violence.
Stopping just short of outright rejecting the request from state lawmakers Rep. John Fritchey and Rep. LaShawn Ford, Weis said “I don't think the National Guard is the solution.”

If you lived in Chicago you would know more about this. Last I checked I lived there most of my life then moved out to the suburbs. Honestly you know what would happen every night? Gang fights, gunshots, and someone dead. There are schools around these areas. They get caught in the middle of it. Top it off the youth is getting involved with it thanks to the influence.
I'm not saying calling the National Guard to Chicago is needed, but police don't like driving around the areas where this shit happens unless backup is there. How are you supposed to fight crime then? I wouldn't really call it fighting crimes, but mainly fighting against gang wars.
If being a loser means not playing Silkroad all day.. lulwut?

lol I was being sarcastic. Cause thats how 99% of the GOP would respond to this. I agree if the police want help, they really need it.
I thought the national guard was controlled by the federal government. They should have called themselves state guard. Regardless of who controls what, I'll bet we'll still have people crying about government intervention.

Under circumstance's president can take control (been a while since I had Am. gov. so I forgot the circumstances )
But today (I live in Georgia) some dude tried to kill a student from my school at the bus stop the bus picked him up in time though and the guy open fired. No one got hurt but first time something like this has happened to a school I went to. It wasn't too surprising though cause my school is ghetto

Well yeah I saw the quotation, but I still had to reply to that comment.
