Cant boot from dvd

So, i was trying to boot win 7 from dvd(tried both 32, 64 bit), and also original xp home. Set the order right( First from cd, 2nd hdd etc.), and pc is just not booting, it goes str8 to xp, i'm currently using. I've read some topics about these problems, but none of 'em has helped so far.

Press F8 or Esc or F10 lol cant remember.
Just press it when its loads at first and then select boot from cd

BIOS depentend.. go to BIOS First boot device DVD and tadaa!!

He did it already.. if you read his post properly
I think the win7 isnt a bootable .iso, are you sure you have the good one?
and does the dvd open in windows?

1st: must have DVD reader
2nd: the DVD must be "bootable", as you can choose this option from lots of DVD burner programs

and if the case, keep the legal iso you download, download BurnAware Free, very useful
