http://abc.go.com/shows/vIt's a Show on ABC (Tuesday 10pm) and it's about a aliens that come to earth and look like humans. They say they are of peace - always - but really they want to overtake Planet Earth.
I've been watching this since it started beginning of November last year.
Anyone else watching/following it?
What do you think?

Thats true, but do we see anything like shawshank redemption, titanic, terminator 2 these days? Hollywood fails horribly and kids today are deprived of true cinema. Poor them.

Yes because Titanic was a ground-breaking, never before seen story of a girl trapped in an upper class society who hates it and ends up falling in love with the poor, adventurous guy. Only new thing was that it was on a ship that sunk

Remaking doesn't always mean lack of creativity. Most of them do lack it because they just straight up remake a movie. There are some, however, that shed light on a different aspect of the film, or throw in a new perspective. Some writers/directors may even tackle remaking as adapting due to cultural changes across space and time.
Of course, pushing for the sake of novelty does not always work out. Though I have to agree, there has been awfully a lot of remakes. And there will be more as I've heard there's been high interest in rebooting a handful of 80s movies. I'm just hoping some of them will actually be good.
Question of interest: Is there such a thing as novelty?
