V for Vendetta

Just watched this movie after second guessing myself a number of times and blah blah blah, it was fking amazing. A simple message well delivered. My main concern going in was that it was going to have a political/revolutionary theme and that would be all it became, but no, to my surprise it was a great action movie and what made it great was of course the very relevant theme and how well executed it was, all done beautifully and effortlessly.

It should be obvious that the reason why I am creating this thread is because I liked the message and felt like promoting it somewhat but what really matters is that the movie is entertaining and for me at least that was the case, 5/5( Outlander is another decent recommendation, doing a mini marathon of old movies  ) .

The movie was great. The problem was the hype it created through net memes, and the masks..

Now it's lame =\ Hard to watch the movie w/o being reminded of all the lame shit.

^What Azilius said. Great movie, but there was really too much of a fuzz around it. Like everyone making signatures with masks and all of that stuff ...

*Vendetta - pardon the Grammar Nazi.

Anyway...

This movie is at the top 3 of my favorite ones. I can watch it over and over again without getting bored. A lot of people complained about it because it didn't offer a lot of fighting scenes. I agree with them, but its core philosophy and the execution of it far outweighs any lack thereof.

The government quote is pretty much relevant but yours is kinda fancy and lacks substance to say the least.

Btw what I loved about the movie was the message that to face a tyrant government all it takes is for all the people to stand up and claim what is rightfully theirs, no violence, nothing, just unity.

Knowing that you see religion, news media, etc, and get disappointed at how the people don't reject all these organizations and engage in meaningless struggles against each other.
