Something that could have been an easy update for CS3.
CS4 is just 3 extra tools and a new tabbing system.

CS5

Adobe is currently developing Photoshop CS5, which will be released on April 12, 2010. In a video posted on its official Facebook page, the development team revealed the new technologies under development, including three dimensional brushes and warping tools. Adobe CS5 is expected to make strong use of CUDA technology on Nvidia graphics cards. Other tools have been suggested and demonstrated for CS5 including the content-aware fill option, which is able to fill out unfinished sections of images (such as borders) and dramatically improve the process of removing problem areas from photos.

CS5 is coming out next month! omg! i was talking to my comm. tech teacher and she said she had just bought CS4, LOL sucks to be her.

I think theoretically it's possible.

It can probably analyze color patterns.

Surely it can be an april fools joke as well though :D

It's not an April Fool's joke. They already announced it a while ago. I'm not sure if I saw it from this forum or another though.

How could it possibly know what to fill in?

And with that accuracy? Gradients like that blue sky would be impossible with just 1 tool.

theres also a plugin for the gimp that does this same thing, although it doesn't look all that great and i forgot the name.

it is possible with one tool though, adobe has seemed to of perfected it, or have gotten near perfection with it.
