You live in Cali. Is an earthquake unexpected? ;-)

It's like living near a river. Damn, a flood! Who knew!

every month???

Try every DAY.

There's been three in the last hour. Obviously they are small enough so they aren't noticeable.

unless something hit the ice in the North and Sud pole of the earth, you don't have to worry for now
you can manually launch ten nuclear bombs if you want it too happen sooner

Yeah, as said before, you live here in California, you should be used to it :P

I usually don't feel anything under a 5.0 if I'm asleep, if I"m awake I'll probably feel the ones that are a bit lighter.

Considering there are aftershocks after a quake, and since the quake did happen today, no surprise that there was three in the last hour that weren't noticed.
most didn't even notice the initial shake.

Orphen, look at the map. In the last day there are 26 earthquakes I could see. Last hour, 4 or 5, then it says there are 723 earthquakes on the map. Since it only shows the last week, 723/7=~103 earthquakes per day. There having been 3 quakes within an hour after the major one has nothing to do with the major one really... They happen all the time anyways.

since when if something happens everyday recently that means it's normal?

It can "become" normal. At the point of transition it isn't normal but if that something continues to happen everyday since then it is now normal. People get accustom to experiencing it. Therefore its the new norm.
