hee guys

i was planning to buy bluetooth headphones with a mic for my PS3, but a friend of mine said those don't work on the PS3.

he said only headsets (with only a mic) worked.

i tried to look it up on internet, but couldn't foind anything useful.

so, does any of you know the answer?

Have nothing to add to your bluetooth issue, but be sure to wear those headphones in a store first. They look uncomfortable. I'd try to get something with some padding which goes over the head, and another circle around the part that covers your ears. This design you picked will press down hard on your ears.
They're also not stable, can easily shift. I have leather padding and that doesn't move and provides great comfort.

you will only be able to use it for mic sounds. Not game audio.

is this with all headsets?

I see enough vids where people use headsets to hear footsteps better in MW2 and chat so I think it's possible, dunno with what kind of headset though

No USB based headset will give game audio (tried my own and read this on multiple sites).

I have no idea what else works sadly.

I have my ps3 hooked up to speakers which have a spot for headphones so I use those for audio, and my mic cord goes into ps3. Good thing I sit up close =\

I have a headset for my xbox where you plug the audio out into these connectors and then connectors into the tv. The connectors run a second wire out to the base and feed sound wirelessly to the headset.

It works with anything: dvds, ps3, 360, wii, snes, etc.

The only thing is that the mic only works for 360. I can only assume they make another model with a bluetooth mic.

On March 18th, I shall buy http://www.turtlebeach.com/products/efp21/home.aspx Turtle beach headsets are probably the very best headsets for PS3 without being ridiculously expensive.

Joey, do you plug that in the controller or the console? And is it good for us hearing impaired folks

Console, and I bet it is better than losing half of our hearing due to bluetooth headset in one ear.

Turtle Beach Px21, astro a40s/mixamp, ax pros, ax 180/720s

I had Ax pros but they broke, I now have astro a40s and their pretty good but cost $250.

im useing a bluetooth.. works fine for me o.o

Yes the turtle beach px21 allows both game audio and voice chat

Just ordered the PX21. I lol @ people who pay $250 for a gaming headset.

I lol at spending anything over 20...so to each his own.

$80 is no where near $250.

And 80 is way more compared to 20

Where can you find a top-notch gaming headset for as low as a price for $20. The headset he bought actually seems pretty reasonable.

I have $20 headsets... They all broke within a few months because they're flimsy. That might be because I bought them from wal-mart though... With the Turtle Beach headsets, I know I'm getting a good quality headset, yet not paying a ridiculous amount.

My point was don't criticize or make fun of someone for spending their own money on something they want when it's really not bad compared to other things..Like a 4 million dollar car for example.

I'm sure his reasons were justifiable, and I bet the sound quality of those things are top notch.
