Basically I want to play tracks from my Sony Ericsson phone on my car stereo system. I was wondering if this would work (made a diagram to make it easier to understand).

Before you tell me to go out and just try it, I can't right now because my current adapter has broke so I need to go out and get a new one first.

Thanks :)

Yes it will work, just make sure you buy the right cable(s).

Well all the cables I have (and shown in the diagram) came with the phone when I bought it 2 years ago  So I'm guessing they're the right cables.

The adapter is the only specific one you need, but newer sony ericson phones might still use the same port. The "speaker connector" is not phone specific, you can use that with anything that has a 3.5mm jack.

Should work if your car stereo has an aux-input

In my mom's car Image

There is an aux input in the arm rest section, but when I connect my phone to it to play some tunes while im driving, the sound quality is awful, and I have to play around with the settings in the car, whereas when im listening to the same tune, with headphones the sound is godly... weird haven't tried it with my archos yet, will soon though
