Xbox 360 with a crappy TV.

I have one so far, and I can barely read the text on games like such as BF:BC2 and whatnot. If I buy one of those 720p TVs, will I be able to read the text, crisp and clear?

How old is your tv? Cuz it could be just the settings, try to play around with it. And if you go for a new tv take a full hd (1080p) and not a hd ready one, the full hd's are cheap enough now.

If you really want to enjoy a XBOX 360 or a Playstation 3, you need to have an HD-TV. Preferably Full-HD, but HD-ready is also fine.

If he doesn't have a newer xbox 360 he can only use component so why bother with 1080p?

Honestly, as long as you can plug in the hdmi cables you'll be fine.
I played nhl 10 at my friends house before he received his hdmi cables
and the graphics were ps2-like. These cables really change everything, BUT monster hdmi cables are NOT better than 4$ hdmi cables. You just need
to have hdmi ones, even if they cost 4$
Oh and dont buy your hdmi cables in stores if you dont have them, buy
them from the internet and you will save alot.
$3.95 hdmi cables here (99.5% feedback w/ 7775 sold)

True but he never said if he had one with HDMI or not
I don't have good experience with fake items for my console so I just go for the official HDMI cable, it might cost a bit more but often enough I bought that fake shit and it just broke down or what ever.

Oh man, I've been there. I couldn't play anything from xbox, couldn't read the story, controls, what people said etc. Then I got a 42in HDTV, been in heaven since and play nothing but xbox.

Wish I could have a 42"+ but that would be too big for my room

I have a Modern Warfare 2 limited edition console. So yeah, those are probably one of the newer brands of an Xbox 360.

Just look at the back of the xbox, there should be a HDMI slot right above the normal scart output. If there is get a Full HD, if there isn't and you aren't willing to buy a new xbox get a HD ready I guess.
