School Censorship (Weird Though)

Ok I go to this Christian School, and during my final history class I noticed something. This book is deasigned for Christian Schools so it's already prett censored. But for the first time this year in our book our teacher had us cross out a page and a paragraph. In this page it spoke it about Liberalism, Idealism, Materialism, Facism, Religious Liberalism, and more! And the very last was "Equality" and it was talking about how people wanted equality amongst each other......This school already disturbing me I blieve this may be a severe case of brainwashing... I mean our coach who comes in every wednesday showed us this 6 year old boy who was a street preacher on youtube, who was saying things like "**** will burneth in Hell", "Masturbaters will burnith in Hell", "Liars will burnith in Hell", and he approved of this content. There is more than this even but this just scares me..

Yeah Christian schools are pretty f***ed up right now.
My friend is in Comedy Sports.
I don't really know what they do, but when you say something vulgar, the other team (which is another school) can say "brown bag" and you have a brown bag placed over your head for saying something bad.
Our team was up against a Christian school and when my friend said "Science matters!" the other team yelled brown bag >.>
It was overruled, but it's still f***ed up.

It's got to be your school. I went to Catholic school 8/12 years and never once had this happen. Of course, they would rather have us believe in their bullshit, but they didn't censor the other side. In fact, intelligent design was not once mentioned in any of my science classes after freshman year.

Consequences of going for a Christian school. You either accept/live with their ideas and curriculum, or you just don't go there. These are things you know beforehand, can't really go and complain later when you got exactly what you signed up for.
Besides, Christian schools aren't all bad. Especially in America, where still a lot of the people 'believe', it's not bad having a good knowledge of the bible and Christianity. I think the separation of church and state is good, but seeing as we're (Western world) living in a Christian society it's important to learn key values of Christianity. For a large part it's still very much part of who we are and what our culture revolves around.
People really underestimate religion and quickly dismiss a lot of things as nonsense, but it's important not to forget there's also good sides.

As for your real issue: there's probably not much you can do about it. However, this is the same in almost every school. The educational system is like a solid rock which can't be changed. Best to just embrace the good things, and don't bother with the bad things too much.

I went to a Catholic school. We learned evolution, big bang theory, etc.

Curriculum is controlled provincially. We had to learn the same thing as a public school. Only difference was that we also had a mandatory religion class (I think 3 religion credits to graduate?)

Last one was really good. It was a World's Religion class.

Well I was Catholic, and I went to a Catholic Grade School then moved on their High School, until my parents felt the administration sucked (which it did) and it was the same Dom, we learned all a pub school did but we had to have 24 credits instead of 21, which was the 3 years worth of 3 added Theology classes, and this is why this Christian/Protestant school scares me, i mean all of their stuff is religious especially in the Sciences classes...Just look a the "A Becka" Book company I think they're called

I had the same experience. All the local public schools in my area are terrible, so my parents have always sent me to private, catholic schools. I got a good education, and the only difference was I had to take a religion class each semester and wear a uniform. I also had a world religion class as my last class, it was very interesting.

So yeah, it's just your school.

Also when the elections were going on, I told some people I wanted Obama as president, and I had people come up to me a mock me for choosing him, and some people actually said I liked terroist because he was his Osama's brother...The said part is they were dead serious, they complain about free speech in Universities, but here I am afraid of wanting a man for president, I never experience that my old school (Catholic), these people seem to have hate towards anything that Glen Beck hates, and anything that doesnt claim to be protestant

Nothing good comes from religion, /done.

I went to a catholic school and i've never heard something like that happening anywhere. Its probably just your school.

The only difference between public schools and catholic schools in my area is that we had a world religions class. And i dont ever recall them mention anything bible related outside of our religion class.

the closest catholic school by my school is shitty and is known for having arrogant cocky SOBs. And it is all-male, and so is made fun of by all the other public schools for being gay.

I don't know what people think to choose a school like that AND shell out 10k a year. Some of my friends went there after middle school, and its not like they became any more intelligent or better at studying.

The other private schools in my area are academically strong, though they are a lot farther away. Personally, unless the local public schools are shitty and unless the private school is really good, I would never send my kid to a private school. Being motivated to go to a good college rests on the student, you'll never get far simply by going to a private high school if the student himself doesn't care about studying.

Hmm Where are you from Gaige? I actually went to the school that prints the A Beka books. Now that I left, I realize how brainwashed I was as a kid. You get good morals, but equality and getting along with people... that part's a little twisted.

Catholic School is legit, freshman year can be a little "eh" but it;s legit. Protestant school, on the other hand, lol.

in America it all depends on the state of the local and state government. If a city is poor, they probably will have a terrible public school district, and vice versa.

i went to catholic schools, and i loved them =]
(except for religion class xD)

because it costs more money, the students mostly come from the middle class, creating a better academic environment than the public schools
