I was just bored and thinking about 2012. All these recent earthquakes etc. It could just be every 2500 or whatever the Mayans predicted, something big happens to the earth as a result from built up stress. We know the tectonic plates build up stress over time, maybe 2500 is the rough time estimate it takes for the stress to be relieved. Hurricanes are still unknown as to how they truly form. Why some waves go to giant cat 5 while others fade away. Maybe all these recent buildup of events that release a tremendous amount of energy is just a part of earth's natural process of relieving excess energy built up over the past few millenniums.

Just my 2 cents.

well I think Mayans only said, great change. The last of a series that would change the face of the earth. They weren't that specific like any other prophesy.

Galactic alignment it seems is today's modern view of that prediction since that day lines up the earth with sun and galactic center. I saw that since all that alignment stuff came from reading tablets with pictures of animal people and weird ass shit and saying A = B.

Galactic alignment will happen although its effects are unknown for obvious reasons.


I just think it's just earth's process of releasing energy. All the built up energy has to go somewhere, eventually stress built up will have to be released. A closed system can only hold so much.

This is getting ridiculous. The only reason why things seems so bad is because modern day communication is so great when compared to previous eras. Earthquakes are not rare phenomenon that only happen once every 3 kajillion years. They happen quite often and are not signs of incoming planetary doom. This era is actually quite tame when compared to previous eras of Earth's history.

BUT it's just ridiculous the earthquake rate (well not only that, others nature disasters as well) is occurring around the world!

Haiti earthquake wasnt that hard but the damages are so big because houses there made of "leaves and sand".
