Obviously it's not airing in the Netherlands, but is it airing somewhere else? Made me lol.

For the record, most 'Dutch' expressions in English were invented by the English during the ~18th century colonial wars between the Netherlands and the English. English were trying to give the Dutch a bad name, so they invented negative sayings with 'Dutch' in them.
Though it has to be said there is some truth to the Dutch being cheap, for example: it has happened to me that I went to a wedding and there was dinner at the end in a restaurant, and everyone just paid for their self's. (Though this is really extreme going Dutch, but that was the first time I thought to myself: "wow, we [Dutchies] are really cheap")

it's even worse when you think that you can't even get an inheritance here without paying a Tax over it -.-.

Pff. Here in Holland some guy asked me for €0,50. He once "borrowed" me money for a meal @ McDonalds' and he told me i had to pay him €5,50. I paid him that and after 3 months he said to me he miscalculated that and he wanted the other €0,50. How cheap can you get..

i use that term all the time I didn't really see it as derogatory but then again i never understood its history. Besides i work with a dutchie and i make fun of him all the time
