I'd go for the first one.

Processor ;
Cant help you, I have no idea about how the new i3/i5/i7 Series scale compared to the Core 2 Series.

Video Card ;
The Radeon 5xxx is stronger than the GT 220

RAM ;
Logically, the 4G of DDR3 RAM is better than 4G of DDR2 RAM

Core i3
The Core i3 was intended to be the new entry-level processor from Intel, following the retirement of the Core 2 brand[16][17].
The first Core i3 processors were launched on January 7, 2010[18].
The first Nehalem based Core i3 was Clarkdale-based, with an integrated GPU and two cores[19]. The same processor will also be available as Core i5 and Pentium, with slightly different configurations.
The Core i3-3xxM processors are based on Arrandale, the mobile version of the Clarkdale desktop processor. They will be similar to the Core i5-4xx series but running at lower clock speeds and without Turbo Boost.[20]
According to some sources, existing Core 2 processors based on Yorkfield, Wolfdale and Penryn may also get rebranded to Core i3[21].

Found my answer,
TL ; DR : Core 2 Duo ends up being better than an i3,but not an i5 :)

That doesn't look too good.

That's standard on pretty much all batteries. Most computers that I've noticed usually only have a one year warranty with no warranty for the battery. So this one is actually pretty good.

Really? I had no idea. Guess that's something I'll pay attention to when I go buy a laptop for myself.

It's dual core which is essentially two CPU's in one, but so is the I3.

uhm i always though this:

i3= 3 CPU
i5= 5 CPU
i7= 7 CPU

btw I would pick the first one.

i3 is dual with hyperthreading and I think so is i5..i7 is quad with hyper. Going off bad memory here.

First one is much, much better. Esp the graphics card..

Saying 2 cpu's means that it has two Core 2 Duo's or two Core i3's. Having more than one core doesn't make it a dual cpu.
