i'm thinking about getting a cell phone, but don't really know which one is good in features, services and prices. do you guys know any good one around the 30-50$ range monthly?

iphone is the worse phone to have on contract your better off getting a sim only contract and saving up for the iphone from apple

get the iphone unlocked ( 3G, used, around 300 on ebay ) or blackberry bold unlocked ( newest one, i think its around 500-800 though :/ , i like them :o, plus u save money to buy the phone if u dont want the service plans! lol

My phone recently broke and they shipped me a replacement 2 days later. I don't really see a problem with contracts on iPhone.

Also, it takes like 10 seconds to unlock and jailbreak an iPhone (both get done at the same time).

The usual "High School student" plan here in Canada is 20$ for Unlimited Text,100mins and a couple other goodies. Personally I'd get an Blackberry Bold,they are so hawt.

@Canadians : Anyone has a plan with the new "WIND Mobile"?Whats your thoughs? I read their website but I don't understand the whole WIND.Homezone thing.

First you need to pick a provider... people on SRF cannot help you do that... ask people who live in your area how their provider's reception is.

Second, look at the list of phones your provider supplies and pick one yourself! They dont have hundreds of phones... so it should not be too difficult to pick one you like and can afford.

wind home zone is just the calling area. if you should call anyone outside of it or make a call while outside you get charged LD but if your inside you get free basically. thats my understanding.

Since im not in the US (So no Verzion wireless for me) i'dd go with a HTC Touch pro 2 QWERTY myself, i love the design and seen it works just perfectly ^^
